Junior Coaching Re-commencing 5th Sept

Junior Coaching commences on Monday 5th September with Dave, Gillian and Cormac, Mondays and Tuesdays with more experienced players coaching taking place on Wednesdays.  It is good value for money, with each course of 12 weeks equating to less than €10 per session. Junior Coaching Autumn Term 2011 and return to Dave Cooney.

JUNIOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

2011 Junior Club Championships Saturday 3rd September to Saturday 17th September (Finals Day).  Girls and Boys Singles & Doubles U10, U12, U14 & U16.  Mixed Doubles U16 only.  €5 per event entry.  Applications to be put in Club postbox (on wall beside noticeboards) by Wednesday 31st August. Junior Summer Activities

We are delighted to advise that this Summer this year we have two different types of activities for the children throughout the months of July and August – Dave Cooney’s Summer Camps and Supervised Tennis (please read full article for details of both below)..   Firstly, we have 3 Summer Camps organised by LTC Head Coach, Dave Cooney with the help of club coach Gillian Quirke.  This is a tennis coaching camp to develop technical, tactical and physical aspects of the children’s tennis skills. Junior Mentoring Starting Sunday 3rd April

With the help of junior member parents we are starting the Junior Mentoring Programme on Sunday 3rd April.   Fun tennis and socialisation for junior members. It will take place every second Sunday until the end of May (irrespective of weather and is on Bank Holiday also).  So dates for your diaries are: Sundays: 3rd April, 17th April, 1st May, 15th May & 29th May Mini Aces (6-8 yrs) 2pm to 3.30 Super Aces (9-11yrs) 2pm to 3.30 Teen Aces (12-16yrs ) 4pm Balls provided but you might want to bring a drink/snack.

Junior Members Mentoring Programme

Calling all parents!   Dave Cooney together with the Committee are currently devising a Mentoring Programme to get the junior members back to playing at the club to enjoy the facilities and meet other players. We are hosing a meeting on THURSDAY 24TH MARCH AT 8.30 at the Club. We would like to discuss the initiative and get input from parents.
