COVID-19 Phase 2

Official Phase 2 Updated Return to Play protocol changes and player/coach instructions.
Effective Monday 8th June 2020 until further notice.
This replaces all previous updates.

  1. Club-general update
    a) Club will revert to usual Key pad entry from Monday 8th June-new code will be issued separately on Sunday evening 7th June.(Please use new hand sanitiser at entrance gate when operating Key Pad.)Main gate is to be pulled close after entry/exit to prevent unauthorised access.
    b) Gate Supervision will cease from close of play on Sunday 7th June.
    c) Court 4 dedicated to Under 10’s-adult members please try to avoid booking this court when other courts available.
  2. Toilets.
    Club house and toilet will remain CLOSED.
  3. Player Protocols.
    Singles play and Doubles partners from same household will remain the only options.
    Guests not permitted(N.B-When booking a court-if opponent name does not appear in ‘drop down’ box then they are not a member and are not permitted.)
    Members living within the 20km distance can use the club from 8th June.
  4. Junior Protocols.
    Age 16 and over do not require adult supervision.
    10-15yrs-can play on their own with adult on the premises.
    Under 10’s require adult member on court with them.
    Recommend to book Court 4 for Under 16’s for ease of visual supervision.
  5. Coaching Protocols.
    Coaches can utilise 2 courts each with 2 players(coachees) on each court (ie 1:4 ratio).
    Coaches will continue to use the back courts.
    There are no tennis camps or group coaching permitted.
  6. Club Opening Hours.
    Club will open weekdays from 0800 with last games finishing at 20.30 on back courts and 21.00 on front courts-(there will be no floodlight use)
    Weekends open at 0830.
  7. Court Booking times.
    Limited to 1 hour of play
    Back courts on the half hour-IE 0930-10.30
    Front Courts on the hour-IE-10.00-11.00
    These court booking times are mandatory to assist social distancing and are amended on the court booking system.

Closing comment.
Covid 19 still remains a real and present threat to human health and it is incumbent on all our members to strictly adhere to the above Club Protocols as well as  and Govt/HSE protocols for tennis to remain viable and to protect our family and friends
