Ex Head of Physical Preparation for Tennis Ireland. Oktay helped Tennis Ireland to achieve Gold Status for coaching practice with the ITF.
He has recently created a daily training load and wellness monitoring system, using the Metrifit system. The ITF requested this system to be presented at the World Tennis Coaching Conference May 2019.
Oktay also produced a 2 year prospective cohort study “Injury & illness in elite Irish junior national tennis players”.
In 2019/20 Oktay took up a role as consultant Sport Scientist for British Tennis and is currently Head of Physical Preparation for RS Academy.
